Our Sheep, Australian Merinos
We welcomed our first sheep in January 2023 after an infrastructure overhaul. Our foundation ewes were carefully sourced from Pendarra, a Merino and Poll Merino Stud from Omeo, Victoria – producing soft handling wool with a well defined crimp of pure white and nourished fine wool on a large frame.
Our resident rams are Macehill ‘Dave’ of Macehill Merino from Stockdale, Victoria and Silfra Ponds ‘Jack’.
Animal welfare is a cornerstone of operations. We practice non-mulesing and provide pain relief at lambing marking (ear-tagging, castration and taildocking). All sheep are electronically identified to ensure traceability and data drive management.
Sustainability in Practice: Our Verified Commitments
We’re first-generation farmers, but not first in caring deeply about doing things right. Our registrations are more than logos—they’re proof of a farming journey grounded in ethics, learning, and transparency.
Authentic Integrity Scheme (AIS) by the Schneider Group: Ensuring wool meets quality and ethical standards. Livestock Production Assurance (LPA): Upholding national best practices in sheep management. Better Choices: Recognised for pro-active pain relief mitigation practices
Wool preparation is overseen by an Australian Wool Exchange (AWEX) registered wool classer, with use of the WoolClip digital specification for data traceability and transparency in the Australian Wool Traceability Hub (AWTH).
